With the support of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla La Mancha and Legado Artesano de Castilla La Mancha, the architecture and design studio Romero & Vallejo has transformed the main hall of the Palacio de la Trinidad, the venue for Casa Decor 2024 in Madrid, with a conceptual yet warm and welcoming interior design proposal. Each piece has been carefully selected to create a cozy atmosphere, resembling a living room or a tea room in a hotel.
The design is contemporary, in dialogue with the historic building, which features early 20th-century Sevillian regionalist architecture. Romero & Vallejo has dressed the main hall of the palace in a peach-colored “skin” that embraces the space, contrasting with and enhancing the impressive coffered ceiling crowning the room. This element creates spatial unity where all the pieces of craftsmanship find their place.
The space is filled with details, and alongside artisans, they have created all the pieces that make up the room: the central sofa, stools, armchairs, tables, dressers, lighting, decoration, etc., resulting in a space with unique personality that reflects the warmth of craftsmanship and its masters.
In this space, craftsmanship is showcased as a guiding thread that unites the past, present, and future.
